I have never mentioned it on my blog before, but I LOVE Ditte Isager’s photography. My only regret is that I did not discover her while I was in school because Ditte’s work is so inspirational. I love her simple approach to photography. Her lighting vision is perfection & the sets she creates are just so beautiful. &&& her cliental is kinda rockstar material - hello, Anthro, GQ & Vogue anyone?? She is from Denmark, but now shoots in NYC —- look her up, Shan Shan :]
Here are some of my favorite pieces of her’s lately:
For YOU, O God, tested us. YOU refined us like silver. YOU brought us into prison & laid burdens on our backs. YOU let men ride over our heads; we went through fire & water, but YOU brought us to a place of abundance.
Come & hear, all you who fear God, and I will tell you what HE has done for my soul.
I have been in a mushy mood this week :] Two months ago, Chad proposed…therefore making me the happiest gal in the universe. I am just so excited to marry that man & this song has been on repeat all week.
Hey all. I have some dear friends overseas at this moment. I got word that Spain had a 5.0 earthquake & my co-leader from last year is in route there as I type this. Thankfully, the team was not affected but they will see disaster when they arrive. Some other friends are arriving in the Middle East soon, if they haven’t already, & they could use pray support.
I can’t express how much your prayers matter, regardless of whether you know these people or not. God is not confined by borders, language or culture. He is sovereign & His purpose for these trips was determined long before human minds planned them. I am so thankful for those who are advancing His Kingdom in obedience & we can partner with them through prayer. It’s definitely a different spot than I have been the past 2 summers…it’s humbling to take a spot as a prayer warrior. But I feel privileged to wait on the Lord as He works around the globe.
